Melinda, an experienced Iowa litigator, founded her freelance practice in 2008 to provide legal services to other lawyers and law firms seeking temporary, hourly assistance with brief writing, appellate work and litigation preparation. In this capacity, she has the opportunity to collaborate with a number of different attorneys on a wide variety of projects. Melinda also provides fundraising services (including grant writing and strategic planning) to non-profit corporations and other organizations.
From 1995 to 2008, Melinda was an associate at Roxanne Conlin & Associates, P.C., practicing primarily in the areas of civil rights, employment discrimination, personal injury, wrongful death, products liability and medical malpractice.
Melinda and her husband, James, have a college-aged son and divide their time between residences in Iowa and southern Utah. In addition to her family and her legal practice, Melinda’s interests include hiking, running, cycling, photography, equestrian activities and advocating for animal welfare issues.
