Anthony has devoted his entire legal career to representing businesses and individuals as debtors, creditors or trustees in both corporate and personal bankruptcy proceedings. Since 2013, Tony has maintained a private practice in which he represents clients in Chapter 7, Chapter 11 and Chapter 13 proceedings and financial restructuring matters. He also has actively assisted other firms with overflow work and handling appearances in bankruptcy matters in all of the SDNY and EDNY bankruptcy courts. In June 2016, he was hired by two of the three members of the official creditors’ committee in the Gawker Media chapter 11 case pending in the Southern District of New York. In August, he was appointed to the newly created EDNY Bankruptcy Committee on Consumer Bankruptcy Matters, Brooklyn Division.
Before opening his practice, Tony worked for two years as in-house counsel for a major financial institution managing a nationwide portfolio of 150 active consumer bankruptcies involving mortgage loan issues and wrongful foreclosure cases. Before then, he worked for 10 years in nationally renowned bankruptcy departments at three law firms: Willkie Farr & Gallagher, LLP; Togut Segal & Segal, LLP; and Golenbock Eiseman Assor Bell & Peskoe, LLP. Tony was a judicial law clerk for two years for the Hon. Tina L.
